Medical Malpractice Horror StoriesAccording to the ATLA, every other day, it seems, we hear about another medical horror story. A Florida, man had the wrong leg amputated. An young boy died after his anesthesiologist fell asleep during surgery.
According to a Seattle Post-Intelligencer report from December 4, 2001, Donald Church mystified security guards at Sea-Tac Airport in Washington State when he set off metal detectors just a few weeks after having surgery to remove a stomach tumor. However, an X-ray machine would have shown why. That's because surgeons left a 13-inch-long, 2-inch wide retractor inside the Seattle man. Or how about the surgeon in New York who "was so proud" of his work, that he carved his initials into his patients abdomen! Source: ATLA For an article about how his doctors killed our first
